This week on the HYL podcast, we talk about the power of creative visioning, and I offer up a few examples. First, I tell you a bit about a vision board I recently completed and what it includes. (See the link to a video that shows you how to do it yourself below, and check out the image on the episode page to see my vision board.)
I then talk a bit about a few examples of visioning I've seen out in the world over the past few weeks - one was at the Black Panther movie, a second has to do with Elon Musk's rocket launch a few weeks ago, and the third is related to something school shooting survivor Emma Gonzalez said in her speech last week.
Listen in as I break down how stories are screwing with your brain, manipulating your attention, and ruining your life. Oh, and by the way, they can save us too! 🙂
Today on the HYL Podcast, I'm chiming in, somewhat belatedly, on the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. As you may or may not be aware, this movie has sparked a lot of diverse opinions, with some people saying they thought it was the best Star Wars movie ever while others are saying this movie marks the death of the new trilogy and Star Wars in general.
As a life-long Star Wars fan, I couldn't resist adding my two cents to the pile, so take a listen to my thoughts about the movie, plus my recommendation about the one thing I think you should do if you hated The Last Jedi (or any other creative work for that matter).
In this episode, I talk about a topic that I have discovered (over the course of recording this episode) that I am passionate about, and that topic is...well, if you read the title of the episode, you know what the topic is: Crazymakers and how to set boundaries with them. In truth, we only start to touch on the actual boundary-setting piece, but I think this is a good primer on a topic I'll likely return to again in the future.
Today on the podcast I wax rhapsodic on the topic of finding one's voice...or more specifically, my voice. Why are we doing what we're doing? Is it to get more likes or followers? Or is it because it's what we really think or care about? Are we asking ourselves the dream-killing question "What will they think of me?" or are we asking: "What do I think of me? What do I want to do? What do I love?
On today's episode, I check in with an update about the family crisis I'm in the midst of that caused me to pause the podcast at the beginning of November. Over the course of this rather long, rambling episode, I also talk about some of the lessons I've learned so far from going through one of the most challenging times in my life.
Toward the end, I go over the parameters of this "Season 2" of the podcast (Short version: I'm in Minimum Viable Podcast mode, and the only rule is, there are no rules.)
This week on the Hell Yes Life podcast, I announce that I'm going on hiatus for awhile, and leave you with some thoughts on what it means to live a Hell Yes Life to ponder during the break. Thank you for a great first season of the podcast, and see you in 2018!

I'm having a William S. Burroughs moment, or something like that but without the psilocybin.
I am holed up in a motel in Anaheim California and I am in the midst of writing my first book in the next five hours or bust.
This week, we're doing something a bit different. Instead of the usual Tuesday interview episode, I'm checking in with an update about the show and my recent trip to Anaheim, California for the Podcast Movement 2017 conference. I then pose an important question to YOU, my treasured and valued HYL listener.
And heck, I guess I'm going to blow the suspense in case you don't want to listen but still are interested in offering feedback.
Gregg Clunis is an entrepreneur, podcaster, and consultant and the host of Tiny Leaps, Big Changes, a top-ranked podcast that is focused on making personal development simple and, as Gregg says, “less ‘fluffy’”. In Gregg’s own words: “Personal development has become about saying things that sound nice, but aren’t rooted in any practicality. I started this podcast as a response to what I felt was a rotting personal development industry. Since then it’s grown into a larger community of people around the world who want to change their lives but realize it will take one step at a time to get there.”
